The Alcantara Family Foundation has had another great day with the official start of the Alcantara Team program in the heart of Raval, in Barcelona, which has once again reunited the children benefiting from the project with one of the patrons, Rafinha, through a connection live from Vigo.
A representation of the beneficiaries of the program, the pre-infant, infant, juvenile and cadet teams participated, in the video call, remembering first of all the happy afternoon of last summer when the Alcantara Family Foundation presented its social project and this pioneering program of training in values accompanied by special attention to promoting healthy habits.
The boys and girls could feel the support of the Alcantara Family Foundation from the voice of a Rafinha who was visibly happy to see the start of the program but above all the affection and enthusiasm of the boys and girls, just like himself, with the T-shirt of the Foundation and a crazy desire to go training.
Rafinha explained to them how things are going in Vigo this season and expressed his confidence that “the results will come out. That is what all of us on the team work for. ”
In the exchange of impressions, Rafinha encouraged them to devote themselves to training, to have fun playing soccer above all else and to enjoy the opportunity to be under the protection of the Associació Esportiva Ciutat Vella and the Alcantara Family Foundation.
At the most animated moment of the conversation, Rafinha was asked to dedicate a goal to them in next Sunday’s game against Athletic. “It’s not very likely,” he joked, “but if I succeed, I will certainly dedicate it to you,” he said, agreeing with them an unequivocal form of celebration with a kind of wave of the hand that recalls the design of the Alcantara Family Foundation logo. .
Finally, the session ended with the promise of repeating these meetings throughout the year and being able to monitor the Alcantara Team experience together.
The program aims to improve the social integration and personal training of the boys and girls of the Raval, in Barcelona, thanks to the pedagogical force of football. The Alcantara family, through its Foundation and in collaboration with the Associació Esportiva Ciutat Vella, developed this social project for the first time during the 2019-20 academic year.
