NOVEMBER, CHILDHOOD MONTH

This month of November that begins is dedicated, from our Alcantara Family Foundation, to CHILDREN. On November 20, World Children’s Day is celebrated in which organizations, media, associations, governments and institutions promote the application of Children’s Rights that were already implicitly recognized in the first declaration of Human Rights in 1948. In 1954, the United Nations General Assembly recommended that all countries highlight a day on the calendar to dedicate it to promoting the rights of children, organizing activities to promote their social well-being.

We are going to dedicate the whole month to promoting sensitivity in favor of the needs of childhood because we believe that it continues to be the most important thing, because children, our children, are the future and because in that future for which we are responsible they begin to enter At stake elements that until now we have left aside, focusing on welfare, health, food or educational policies. Today, all these needs are combined with elements of sustainability and environmental sensitivity together with the demand for new trends in terms of coexistence, tolerance, gender equality and respect that have become just as important.

At the Alcantara Family Foundation we have our eyes wide open to the new models and needs of a rapidly changing world. Every action on behalf of children that we can help to grow with maturity, personality and the ability to make their own correct decisions about how to relate to others, no matter how small it may seem, is important and decisive. Collaborating locally with all our resources we contribute to a better world. That is the purpose.
